The Focus of the Holy Spirit
Throughout the Bible, the Holy Spirit is focused on pointing people to Jesus and leading them to Him:
• The Holy Spirit inspired prophets with prophecies that pointed towards Jesus. Deuteronomy 18:15-22, Psalm 22, Isaiah 9:1-7, Isaiah 53
• Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would glorify Jesus and remind people of everything He taught. John 14:26, John 16:13,14
• The central theme of all the Holy Spirit’s message is the story of Jesus. Revelation 19:10
The Promise of the Gift of the Holy Spirit
Throughout the Bible, God has been promising us the gift of His Holy Spirit:
• God promised that He would pour out the Holy Spirit on everyone. Joel 2:28,29
• Jesus promised that He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit. John 14:16-20
• Peter reassured us that this promise is for us. Acts 2:37-39
The Transformation of the Holy Spirit
When you are baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit, He will completely transform your life for the better:
• You will start a new spiritual life and become a new person. John 3:5-8, Romans 6:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17,18
• You will become part of the family of God— a son or daughter of God. Romans 8:14-17

The Bible gives us practical steps on how to be filled with the Holy Spirit:
- Accept Jesus’ invitation to enter into His kingdom and His promise to give you the Holy Spirit.
- Acknowledge your sincere desire and willingness to change and become a new person.
- Pray for Jesus to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
- Study the Bible to become familiar with the way the Holy Spirit guides people.
